Review on Design & Analysis Of C-Frame of Pneumatic Power Press Using FEA
Abstract :
Presses are used in industries for a wide variety of uses including
blanking, piercing and pressing. There are many different types of
presses. The most popular are pneumatic presses and hydraulic presses.
Pneumatic presses are 10 times faster than hydraulic presses and they
can perform many jobs faster and more efficiently. Metal forming is one
of the manufacturing processes which are almost chip less. These
operations are mainly carried out by the help of presses and press
tools. These operations include deformation of metal work pieces to the
desired size by applying pressure or force. Press machine always works
under impact load condition. Because of continuous impact the load,
frame of press machine always experience continuous tensile stress.

#ijsrd What is an electronic journal ?
What is an electronic journal?
An electronic journal is a periodical publication which is published in electronic format, usually on the Internet.
Electronic journals have several advantages over traditional printed journals:
- You can search the contents pages and/or the full text of journals to find articles on a certain subject.
- You can read journal articles on your desktop, you don't have to be in the Library.
- You can e-mail articles to yourself or download them for printing.
- The article that you want to read will always be available, even when the Library is closed.
- Hypertext links allow you to move to different sections within individual journals or articles and can link you to related resources on the Internet.
- Journals can include more images and audio-visual material.
- Journals can be interactive - you can e-mail the author or editor with your comments.
Many
electronic journals which are available are electronic versions of
journals which exist in print. For example, if you wanted to see the
journal called "Man" this journal is available physically on Level F in the Library, but is also available to SOAS users in electronic format.
Some
journals are only available in electronic format and although some of
these journals are of a high "academic" quality, please be aware that
not all of them have gone through the same process of academic peer
review as traditional print journals.

#IJSRD Optimization of Machining Parameters in CNC Turning Using Firefly Algorithm
#Ijsrd
Optimization of Machining Parameters in CNC Turning Using Firefly Algorithm
Abstract— now a day’s machining is done through various automated machines. One of the widely used machines is CNC. Even though the automated machines are used, the quality of the work is determined by parameters used. The cutting parameters of the CNC machine determine the productivity, surface finish, machining time and other qualities of the product. This study involves the optimization of those cutting parameters. In order to get optimized CNC parameters for a specific tool-work combination, Firefly Algorithm (FA) is used to compute the best parameters based on the experiments conducted on a CNC Turning center. The three cutting parameters are cutting speed (V), feed (f), and depth of cut (d). The practical constraints have been considered during both practical and experimental approaches. The result reveals that FA is very well suited in solving parameters selection problems.

#Ijsrd : Influence of Metal Temperature on Strength of Rolled Steel Product

Influence of Metal Temperature on Strength of Rolled Steel Product
Influence of Metal Temperature on Strength of Rolled Steel Product
Abstract—Rolling is extensively used metal forming process. Almost 90% of cast iron or steel products pass through rolling process at least once in its life cycle. Rolling products are most extensively used in daily life. Use of these products can be seen in bridges, towers, leaf springs, boilers, constructional structural parts and also in daily life products like knives pipes etc. In today’s era, quality of products is one of most important factor considered for its use. Quality of a product can either be controlled or improved by changing in composition or by using heat treatment processes. In rolling products composition is not only the factor which improve the quality of product but temperature plays a vital role in maintaining and improving quality. By changing temperature of rolling we can change grain structure and its mechanical properties without changing its composition.

#IJSRD An Automatic CAN or Plastic Bottle Crusher Machine
An Automatic CAN or Plastic Bottle Crusher Machine
Abstract :
Crushers are major size reduction equipment used in mechanical and allied industries which crushes different types of soft and hard materials. The can or bottle crusher machine is widely used in beverage industries or in scrap dealers shop (Bhangarwala) to reduce the volume of the cans/bottles solely to increase the transportation volume and thus to reduce the transportation cost. Hence in this design and analysis of various parts are necessary. This paper focuses on review of a work carried out by researchers on analysis and design of various parts due to which the design quality of that parts will be improved. There are so many researchers who have done work on design and analysis, but still there are so many areas of scope regarding this design and analysis. The Electric Motor and a microcontroller make up the backbone for this project. Overall, this project involves processes like design, fabrication and assembling procedures. Even though there are many types of the can crusher machine in the market, the completion of this new model provides a more practical usage than previous one.

#IJSRD Modeling and Simulation of a plate with piezo-patches as sensors/actuators using LQG modal control & comparison with classical controller- topic for MEch department
Modeling and Simulation of a plate with piezo-patches as sensors/actuators using LQG modal control & comparison with classical controller
Abstract :
This work is aimed at the active vibration control of a flexible structures using piezoelectric material. A cantilever plate structure, which is supported at one end and free at another is taken as the flexible structure with piezoelectric materials as sensors and actuators. Sensors and actuators, which are square in shapes, are embedded to the parent structure. The active controller was designed to control first three modes of vibration of plate. First, the analysis for the transient vibrations in a cantilever plate structure was performed which was followed by the analysis of the same cantilever plate structure when embedded upon with a pair of sensor and actuator. The plate was discretized into small square elements (8x8) of identical size (2x2cm) in order to assign the different locations to sensors and actuators, which were assumed to be of the exact shape of the discretized plate elements. PID and LQG controllers are applied for attenuating the global structural vibration and comparisons between the both controllers are carried out.

#IJSRD Thermal performance of two phase closed thermosyphon using nanofluid
Thermal performance of two phase closed thermosyphon using nanofluid
A two-phase closed thermosyphon (TPCT) is an enclosed, passive device for heat transmission. It consists of an evacuated close tube filled with a certain amount of working fluid. Fluids with suspended nanoparticles (particles smaller than 100 nm) are called nanofluids that they have a great potential in heat transfer enhancement. In this paper, the thermal performance of a two-phase closed thermosyphon filled with Al2O3nanoparticlesusing water as the base fluid. The experiment was performed in order to measure the temperature distribution and compare the heat transfer rate of the thermosyphon heat pipe with nanofluid and with distilledwater. Nanofluids were prepared in 1% volumetric concentrations. Different filling ratios and heat loads (100 W, 200 W, 300 W, 400 W, 500 W and 600 W) were applied to the evaporator section. Results show that the addition of 1% (by volume) Al2O3of nanoparticles in water presented improved thermal performance compared with the operation with distilled water.
